The Colorado State Flag
The distinctive State Flag of Colorado features 3 prominent horizontal stripes of blue and white and the distinctive 'C' emblem. It serves as a symbol of honor, heritage and regional pride and is displayed at state buildings. The Colorado State Flag is also flown on national and state holidays and on any other days proclaimed by the governor. There is a strict Order of Precedence for flags. State Flags are displayed in order as they entered the Union.

Fact 1: It may be flown every day in the 38th state when weather permits
Fact 2: It may be flown from sunrise until sunset. If it is displayed outdoors in the "Centennial State", it should be flown from a flagpole

Fact 4: The  flagpole may be at least two and one-half times as long as the ensign

 Based on the fess design of horizontal bars (see above) with two bars of blue and one bar of white. The symbol depicting the letter 'C' encloses a symbol of the sun
